Successful leadership is not only a matter of choosing the right strategy. It is also a matter of establishing the right organizational conditions for its implementation, i.e. giving clear direction with well-defined delegation of missions, creating the right organizational structure and ensuring the required staffing and follow-up systems.

A company can be regarded as a project, with the CEO as the project leader. As in a project, targeted completion time of sub projects/tasks are generally used as the governing principle behind scheduling, organizing and following up the project. Some sub-projects/tasks need to be executed in a certain order, whereas others can be executed in parallel to enable necessary execution, coordination and control.

In the same way as for projects, targeted completion time of tasks/missions is the governing principle for how to structure the organization. It thereby becomes possible to ensure that tasks are performed and coordinated at the right level and to match individuals with roles, as well as individuals with individuals. Only by creating the right structure combined with the required staffing and follow-up systems, will the company be able to complete the mission and live up to its full potential both short and long term.
